This Brandywine tomato that was grown at the Crenshaw Community Garden weighed more than 3lbs! The gardener who nurtured it said "it was the sweetest and juiciest tomato I had ever tasted in my life. It was more like a fruit. It is sweeter than those grape cherry tomatoes. I thought my Cherokee Purple was already sweet but this 3 pounder surpasssed them."

Solano Canyon CG will again host the Annual Tree Pruning seminar with Don Hodell of UCCE of Los Angeles. It will be the 4th Saturday of this month, January, 8am to approx 1pm.
